TRADE PRACTICES / FAIR TRADING GENERAL COMMENTS The rights of the consumer impact many areas of government and commerce and are covered under various acts of parliament - SEE BELOW. GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) will overhaul the existing trade practices and fair trading legislation and introduce amendments to better protect consumers and small business from the effects of excessive profit margins charged by some large monopolistic commercial business concerns that dominate:                                     a. The motor vehicle spare parts industry.                                     b. The electrical and electronic spare parts industry.                                     c. The food industry                                     d. The Insurance Industry                                     e. The Banking and Financial Services Industry. GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) , as umpire, will vigorously pursue businesses involved in restrictive trade practices to stamp out all such anti competitive behavior.
