" Lyn Vickery.   Because of its potent Islamic flavour we cannot speak of terrorism today without becoming involved in a lot more than politics - whether we like it or not terrorism is to a very large degree radical religion.  If we are to understand terrorism we must go to its roots. These roots divide into two distinct but interwoven patterns, disadvantage and religious madness.                                                       Christians & Jewish martyrs say; "I will die for what I believe."                                                            A Muslim terrorist says; "you will die for what I believe." GENERAL COMMENTS Twice as powerful as the venom of a Cobra and with no antidote, just a few grams of the highly toxic poison RICIN could bring a city to its knees.  And does this terrible substance come from a high tech laboratory?  No.  It is extracted from the seeds of the castor bean and in minute doses has been given to children for years as a medicine - castor oil.  But in the hands of terrorists this humble and normally useful substance is a potential menace. You see it is not the substance or the science that is at fault here.  Rather, it is the twisted minds of religious bigots, people who carry hatred toward others in their hearts, the bitter have nots and the just plain gullible.  These are the people who can turn into the enemies of civilisation and all that is good and noble. NOTE# Many of the points listed below are also applicable on a wider scale to GLOBAL ACTION INTERNATIONAL. GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA'S) policy on terrorism is twofold:                     a.  Zero Tolerance today toward those planning or practising terrorism and those who support them.                     b.  A concrete ACTION PLAN to strike immediately at the root causes of terrorism, which are injustice,                         inequality, frustration, and religious bigotry, born of the ignorance and despair of millions who                         cannot attain a fair share of life's bounties. Zero tolerance toward those who are already on the road to terrorism and our action plan to curb this menace will go hand in hand.  One cannot succeed without the other because unless the immediate problem is stamped out the world may never have the opportunity to implement the action plan!   ZERO TOLERANCE Already the conflict between the rich and poor of  this world has gone too far.  Simmering hatred of the West which is perceived to be rich and arrogant by many in poor nations has already been tapped as a source of power by those who would themselves gain power - the opportunistic religious leaders and dictators of many poor or overpopulated nations. It is not hard for them to gain a following among their own downtrodden people. It is not hard for them to stir emotions of hate and greed in these usually ill educated masses or in people whose education is slanted toward some religious dogma.  It is then only a small step to select a few gullible but determined people to become suicide bombers hijackers or the like. Right now these people imperil not just America or the west, but the whole world.  Their very ignorance makes them twice as dangerous to peace loving people everywhere.  They are mad dogs and once they contract and carry the contagion of terrorism must be stopped instantly. GLOBAL ACTION  (AUSTRALIA) will enact whatever laws are necessary and legal under International Law to discover, apprehend, interrogate, hold and if necessary imprison these maniacs. We will co-operate with governments everywhere.  We see the war on terror as just that - a war!  Terrorists are the mortal enemies of the people. ACTION PLAN While adopting a Zero Tolerance attitude towards terrorists GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) will also:     a. Work vigorously to support the practical work of all those governments and individuals in developing         countries who cherish peace and co-operation and who oppose terrorism.     b. Fight to reduce arms sales to developing nations.     c. Fight to recover and destroy arms, ammunition and infrastructure in the hands of groups who         support terrorism.     d. Fight to develop comprehensive practical non religious education programs in schools in developing         countries.     e. Shut down the money supply to terrorists.     f.  Institute comprehensive water location and drilling programs across developing countries using         Australian technology.     g.  Develop and implement vastly expanded food aid programs mainly in the area of seed supply so they can         grow their own food crops and basic tools with which to till the soil.     h.  Provide expertise in key areas:                                             a.  Sanitation engineering                                             b.  Construction                                             c.  Disease control and eradication.                                             e.  Logistics.                                             f.   Transportation planning and infrastructure.                                             g.  Anti corruption measures.                                             h.  Taxation law and its application.                                             i.   Best practice banking, finance and financial management.                                             j.   Lawmaking.                                             k.  Best practice models for Local and national government.       i.   Advocate and support birth control measures using voluntary implants with an effectiveness of several years.       j.   Push vigorous measures to combat AIDS in developing nations.       k. Clearly brand all aid with "Supplied by AUSTRALIA" in english and the native language of the recipient           nation.       l.  Vastly improve the public relations messages passing into developing countries from Australia to make it           clear that we are not a threat and that we are willing to constructively help them to help themselves.       m. Make it clear that Australia will tolerate no religious interference with its aid packages. WHERE DOES GLOBAL ACTION AUSTRALIA STAND ON ISLAM? When the widely held attitudes and values of the Australian people are in harmony the nation is at peace with itself. Through good sense, consensus and common decency this has been our condition for decades. Compare the peaceful internal affairs and progress of our nation over the last century with that of others and you quickly see how blessed we are. We have never known civil or religious wars or revolution.  We have never suffered the mass slaughter of our people by their own in the name of religion. When minority groups, religious or ethnic, try to impose their will values or ways upon the community at large tension must result. Why is Australia so admired by other countries?  The fact is our peace, stability and prosperity are based upon the long held acceptance of common attitudes and values within the Australian community. What one could call the Judeo/Christian ethic - the ten commandments, do unto others, a fair go for all, our heritage of mainly european law, attitudes and values, the glue that binds - our commonality.  That is why we, as Australians, understand each other and get along together. That is why the world sees us as a tolerant people. A common attitude is at the heart the lifeblood and the enduring great strength of our nation.  GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) vigorously opposes anything - religious, ethnic or political that attacks or corrodes that common attitude because it attacks the very heart and soul of Australia. This great and peaceful nation was built upon the acceptance of common attitudes.  In truth we were never deeply religious, but we always had a sense of what is right and we hate the type of blind religious bigotry that has torn regions like the Middle East and Ireland apart for centuries. Think what happens when unacceptable religious attitudes are unleashed in other countries - Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and now in south east Asia.  Without fail the result is religious and ethnic strife, economic disaster, starvation war and death.  It's all a matter of attitude!  The minute we discount the true and valid values of others we are heading for trouble. If people who hold unacceptable attitudes or values enter our community they cause dissension, pain, aggravation and other costs which burden us all. Religion, like ethnicity, is not about race or colour - it is about attitude toward our fellow human beings. It is not up to our community or nation to adjust to the values of newcomers.  If they wish to live or prosper in this nation it is up to them to change and fully integrate into our community. If they cannot they must leave or be ejected. It is not up to our community or nation to adjust to the values of Islam or any other religion.  If Muslims wish to live or prosper in this nation it is up to them to change and fully integrate into our community. If they cannot they must leave or be ejected. Under GLOBAL ACTION (Australia) will no longer be soft touch or a pushover for religious fanatics bent upon causing dissent and spreading their special brands of blood thirsty narrow minded religious madness. This is the 21st century and the Australian people will not be dragged back into the dark ages by a few ignorant, ill informed, lying, bloodthirsty religious bigots from the lowest human orders of third world countries that have human rights records that often equal the worst on the planet! The principle of Al                     Takeyya conveys the understanding that Muslims are permitted to lie as a preventive                     measure against anticipated harm to one's self or fellow Muslims. This principle gives                     Muslims the liberty to lie under circumstances that they perceive as life threatening. They                     can even deny the faith, if they do not mean it in their hearts. Al-Takeyya is based on the                     following Quranic verse:                     "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do                     that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution (prevention), that                     ye may Guard yourselves from them (prevent them from harming you.) But Allah                     cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah." Surah 3: 28                     According to this verse a Muslim can pretend to befriend infidels (in violation of the                     teachings of Islam) and display adherence with their unbelief to prevent them from                     harming him.                     Under the concept of Takeyya and short of killing another human being, if under the threat                     of force, it is legitimate for Muslims to act contrary to their faith. The following actions are                     acceptable:                          Drink wine, abandon prayers, and skip fasting during Ramadan.                          Renounce belief in Allah.                          Kneel in homage to a deity other than Allah.                          Utter insincere oaths.                     The implications of the principle of Al-Takeyya                     Unfortunately, when dealing with Muslims, one must keep in mind that Muslims can                     communicate something with apparent sincerity, when in reality they may have just the                  opposite agenda in their hearts. Bluntly stated, Islam permits Muslims to lie anytime that                     they perceive that their own well-being, or that of Islam, is threatened.                     In the sphere of international politics, the question is: Can Muslim countries be trusted to                     keep their end of the agreements that they sign with non-Muslim nations? It is a known                     Islamic practice, that when Muslims are weak they can agree with most anything. Once                     they become strong, then they negate what they formerly vowed.                     The principle of sanctioning lying for the cause of Islam bears grave implications in                     matters relating to the spread of the religion of Islam in the West. Muslim activists employ                     deceptive tactics in their attempts to polish Islam's image and make it more attractive to                     prospective converts. They carefully try to avoid, obscure, and omit mentioning any of the                     negative Islamic texts and teachings.                  An example of Islamic deception is that Muslim activists always quote the passages of                     the Quran from the early part of Mohammed's ministry while living in Mecca. These texts                     are peaceful and exemplify tolerance towards those that are not followers of Islam. All the                     while, they are fully aware that most of these passages were abrogated (cancelled and                  replaced) by passages that came after he migrated to Medina. The replacement verses                     reflect prejudice, intolerance, and endorse violence upon unbelievers                     In conclusion, it is imperative to understand, that Muslim leaders can use this                     loop-hole in their religion, to absolve them from any permanent commitment. It is also                     important to know that what Muslim activists say to spread Islam may not always be the                     whole truth. When dealing with Muslims, what they say is not the issue. The real issue                     is, what they actually mean in their hearts."
