THE FAMILY  COURTS GENERAL COMMENTS Our first interest is always and in all matters the rights and welfare of the children. Our adversarial combative system is particularly unsuitable to family court matters and sets a terrible precedent for families in deep crises. Whilst recognising and accepting that, in general, women have a far greater direct input into the nurture and upbringing of young children in Australia.  GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) sees a gender balance problem in the family courts and seeks to redress this balance in the interests of all parties. Buy this bumper sticker now GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) will:     a.  Abolish the existing adversarial Family Court system and replace it with a tribunal charged with discovering          non adversarial, workable and equitable solutions that maximize the interests of the children while          minimizing the effects of the irreconcilable breakdown of a marriage on both adult parties. GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) will:                             i.   Where possible make divorce a last option where children are involved.                             ii.  Unsure money due to children from separated/divorced parent payments will reach those                                 children.                             iii  Examine the rights of parents, fathers - particularly, with a view to, where possible,                                 improving access.                             iv. Require the tribunal to take into account property owned by one party before the relationship                                 commenced.                             v.  Address the issue of female dominance of most issues involving family law, divorce and                                 custody and provide a fair gender balance to represent all parties.                             vi. Demand fair and just treatment and access for Non Custodial Parents, Custodial Parents,                                 Grand-Parents and siblings.     b.  Launch a major thrust to drastically cut divorce and separation rates by striking at root causes such as poverty,          lack of decent paying full time work, alcohol, drugs, criminal activities etc. Thus reducing the workload of the family          courts.     c.  Launch a major thrust to restore damaged family units in real terms - not just money. Actively rebuilding          damaged lives through the provision of ongoing case managed counselling, career mentoring, motivation,          encouragement, incentives and education.     e.  Provide practical basic necessities to needy children in the form of regular food, clothing and access to          education - rather than just social security payments.     f.   Smash the mindsets and realities that breed cycles of poverty, hopelessness and despair and replacing them          with real and practical security, a sense of vision, and real hope and opportunities for advancement in the future.     g.  Change attitudes from the despair and acceptance of their plight by broken dysfunctional families to hope for          the future and the conversion of that hope into tangible gains.     h.  Expose disadvantaged and discounted children to environments in which they can grow intellectually,          and morally and in which they will see that there is far more to life than their past circumstances indicated.          In other words, change their reality!
