Tobacco companies have used every trick and evil device conceivable to extract money from consumers while at the same time their product kills the user! The toll in human misery and medical cost to the Australian community at large is incalculable! GLOBAL ACTION (AUSTRALIA) stands for the following:         a. The immediate ban on smoking in all public places and stiff fines for individuals and organisation who break             these bans.  The proceeds going to research on treatments for smoking related disease.         b. The creation of a new commission to oversee the closure and termination of all operations of the tobacco             industry in Australia.         c. The enactment of POWERFUL new anti smoking and anti tobacco industry legislation and the bringing to trial             of the chief executives of Australian tobacco companies for endangering the health of the people of Australia.         d. A freeze on all tobacco company assets in Australia.         d. The total ban on any compensation for perceived loss ever being paid to any tobacco company or their             employees for any reason whatsoever         e. The liquidation of all tobacco company assets in Australia, with the funds going to hospitals working in the             area of the treatment of cancer and other smoking related diseases and to smokers so effected.         e. Adequate provision of funding to enable all Australian tobacco growers and their direct employees to cease           production of tobacco and either change to other crops or leave the industry.  Including funding for retraining.         e. An eventual ban on the importation and sale of all cigarette and tobacco products in Australia.
